An Israeli airstrike destroyed a healthcare center in south Lebanon on the afternoon of March 14 (Day 15), killing at least 12 medical staff members. Lebanese Health Ministry officials confirmed the death toll and condemned the strike as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The IDF claimed the facility was being used by Hezbollah to store weapons and treat wounded fighters, but offered no immediate evidence. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) called for an independent investigation. The strike deepened the humanitarian crisis in south Lebanon, where medical facilities are already severely overstretched due to weeks of conflict.
