UN Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Beirut on Friday, March 14, Day 15, saying Lebanon had been "dragged into" a war not of its choosing. Guterres called for $308 million in emergency humanitarian funding. According to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, Israeli strikes have killed at least 773 people and wounded 1,933 — including 103 children — since March 2. More than 800,000 people have been forced from their homes. Guterres met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and PM Nawaf Salam, urging an immediate cessation of hostilities.
