Kuwaiti air defence systems detected seven hostile Iranian drones approaching Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base in southern Kuwait on Saturday. Three drones were intercepted and destroyed, but two struck the base, injuring three Kuwaiti army personnel. The base, which hosts Kuwait Air Force fighter squadrons, was hit in its maintenance and logistics area. Kuwait's Ministry of Defence condemned the attack as a violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and summoned the Iranian chargé d'affaires. The attack came amid a sustained wave of Iranian drone and missile strikes on Gulf states following the US strikes on Kharg Island.
