Iran targets Saudi Arabia with 65+ drones and 1 ballistic missile across multiple regions — all intercepted

The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the interception of 65 Iranian drones and one ballistic missile targeting vital and civilian areas across the Kingdom on Friday. The interceptions were distributed: 28 drones intercepted upon entering Saudi airspace, 22 destroyed over the Eastern Province, 7 intercepted in the Eastern and Central Provinces, 6 targeted Al-Kharj Governorate and the Empty Quarter, and one drone was shot down while approaching the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh. A ballistic missile targeting Al-Kharj Governorate (approximately 80 km southeast of Riyadh) was also destroyed. No casualties were reported. The Saudi military called the wave the most intense single-day attack on the Kingdom since the war began.
