IDF launches "Arrow of the North" ground operation — forces enter Khiam, Houla, Yaroun in south Lebanon

Israeli ground forces crossed into south Lebanon and entered multiple villages including Khiam, Houla, Kfar Kila, Yaroun, and Kfar Shouba as part of what the IDF called "Operation Arrow of the North." UN peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) confirmed the incursion. Intense clashes erupted with Hezbollah fighters defending the villages, leaving at least 17 people killed — 12 Hezbollah fighters and 5 civilians — and 35 wounded. Israel said the operation aims to create a buffer zone and destroy remaining Hezbollah tunnel networks and rocket launch sites near the border.
