A fire broke out at a major bunkering hub in UAE's Fujairah emirate after debris from an intercepted Iranian drone fell on fuel storage tanks. The UAE air defense had successfully intercepted the drone at altitude, but falling debris ignited a fire that burned for several hours before civil defense teams brought it under control. Three port workers sustained minor injuries from smoke inhalation. Fujairah Port Authority temporarily suspended bunkering operations during the emergency. The incident caused fuel storage damage estimated in the tens of millions of dollars. The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident was linked to an overnight Iranian drone barrage in which air defenses intercepted nine ballistic missiles and 33 drones targeting Gulf state infrastructure.
