A Hezbollah rocket struck an apartment building in Kiryat Tivon, a town south-east of Haifa, causing severe structural damage to the upper floors and injuring 80 people — four seriously, twelve moderately, and 64 lightly. Emergency services rushed to the scene and residents were pulled from the damaged structure. The rocket, identified as a Chinese-design Arash-2 type, struck the fourth and fifth floors of a six-story residential building. Residents had only seconds of warning from the Red Alert system before impact. Magen David Adom said it was the largest single civilian casualty event from a Hezbollah strike in the current conflict. The IDF launched retaliatory airstrikes on Hezbollah rocket launch positions in the Nabatieh district within minutes.
