Israeli Air Force conducted retaliatory strikes on Hezbollah military infrastructure in Bint Jbeil, the symbolic capital of south Lebanon, following the massive 140-rocket barrage that struck northern Israel hours earlier. The IDF targeted a Hezbollah forward command post, a rocket assembly workshop, and a vehicle depot used for transporting munitions. Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed 12 people killed including 8 Hezbollah fighters and 4 civilians, and 28 wounded. The strikes destroyed at least three buildings in the town center. UNIFIL peacekeepers in the area reported heavy explosions audible from their positions. Lebanese Civil Defense teams were unable to reach some locations due to ongoing security concerns.
