An Israeli airstrike hit the southern Lebanese village of Souaneh, killing two paramedics and wounding five others. The strike was the first of two attacks on the health sector within hours on March 14, the second being the devastating strike on the Bourj Qalawayh medical center that killed 12 medical staff later that evening. Lebanon's Health Ministry condemned both strikes as violations of international humanitarian law. Since the conflict escalated on March 2, at least 14 healthcare workers had been killed and dozens wounded across Lebanon. The ICRC expressed "grave concern" over the pattern of attacks on medical infrastructure and personnel.
