Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted and destroyed 24 hostile drones and 6 ballistic missiles overnight, some targeting the Shaybah oil field in the Empty Quarter and others aimed at the Eastern Province. Six ballistic missiles targeting Prince Sultan Air Base near Al-Kharj were also intercepted. Saudi air defenses, including Patriot and THAAD systems, engaged the incoming projectiles. No casualties were reported and no oil infrastructure was damaged. Iran did not claim responsibility. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador and lodged a formal protest, calling the attacks a "blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty and international law." The UN Security Council condemned the attacks in a 13-0 vote.
