Several drones struck fuel storage tanks at Oman's Port of Salalah, one of the largest container ports in the Middle East, igniting fires and forcing the suspension of port operations in its southern section. Omani authorities intercepted some of the drones but others struck infrastructure. No casualties were reported. Iran denied responsibility, but the attack was consistent with the pattern of Iranian drone operations targeting Gulf infrastructure. Qatar strongly condemned the attack as "a dangerous escalation." The port's operator announced a complete operational pause. Oman, which had attempted to mediate between the US and Iran, expressed its frustration with the ongoing attacks on its neutral territory.
