An Israeli airstrike struck the village of Arki near Sidon in southern Lebanon, killing nine people including five children, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The strike targeted a residential building where multiple displaced families from Hezbollah-affected areas had sought shelter. Fifteen others were wounded, some critically. The strike drew international condemnation, with UNICEF describing the deaths of the five children as "an appalling tragedy." Israel said it was targeting a Hezbollah weapons cache in the building.
