Israeli airstrike hits apartment building in central Beirut's Aisha Bakkar neighborhood

An Israeli airstrike targeted an apartment on the 7th and 8th floors of a residential building in the Aisha Bakkar neighborhood of central Beirut, the second strike targeting the heart of the Lebanese capital since the war began. The strike was a suspected assassination attempt targeting Hezbollah or Iranian officials. Four people were wounded. AFP correspondents reported destroyed walls and damaged cars near the scene. At least 19 people were killed across Lebanon on March 11.
