A Hezbollah rocket impacted a residential building in Nahariya in northern Israel shortly after 6 p.m. local time on Monday, sparking a fire. The number of wounded later rose to eight — one person was moderately wounded by the blast while seven others were treated for smoke inhalation, all listed in stable condition. Five people were rescued from the burning building. The attack came hours after the IDF announced it was deploying troops deeper into southern Lebanon to create an expanded buffer zone against Hezbollah.
