Israeli Military Intelligence identified two gathering points in Tehran where senior Iranian security leaders had assembled, and the IDF carried out a precision airstrike killing Abdallah Jalali-Nasab and Amir Shariat — the acting heads of the intelligence division of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. Both officials had been appointed as replacements after their predecessor, Saleh Asadi, was killed in the opening phase of Operation Roaring Lion on February 28. The IDF described them as "senior intelligence commanders and key figures within Iran's intelligence community, with close ties to the upper ranks of the regime." Iran's military confirmed the death of Brigadier General Jalali Nasab, stating he was "martyred while defending the country following an attack by the Zionist entity." The Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters is responsible for gathering and analyzing intelligence for Iran's most senior military officials.
