The IDF launched immediate retaliatory airstrikes on Hezbollah rocket launch positions in the villages of Deir Mimas and Kafr Kila in south Lebanon, approximately 30 minutes after the 140-rocket barrage targeting Haifa and northern Israel at 10:00 UTC. IDF fighter jets and armed drones struck three rocket launch clusters and two pre-positioned rocket storage sites, triggering secondary explosions visible from the Lebanese border. The IDF confirmed the strikes were "direct responses" to the Hezbollah barrage, stating the targeted sites housed Falaq-1 and Falaq-2 unguided rockets used in the morning attack. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported six Hezbollah militants killed and nine wounded among those operating the launch sites. Kafr Kila and Deir Mimas, villages in the Marjayoun district of south Lebanon, sit within the Hezbollah operational zone that has served as a staging ground for rocket barrages throughout Day 16. The IDF said further strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure are ongoing as part of "Arrow of the North" ground and air operations.
