An Iranian cluster munition struck a residential apartment building in Ramat Gan, a suburb east of Tel Aviv, in the early hours of Wednesday. The munition penetrated the roof and exploded in the living room of an apartment occupied by Yaron and Ilana Moshe, a couple in their 70s who could not reach their protected shelter in time. Both were killed. Two additional people were lightly wounded by shrapnel and at least eight impact points were reported across the Tel Aviv district and Bnei Brak. Damage was also reported at Tel Aviv train station, disrupting rail services. Tel Aviv District Police chief Haim Sagarof confirmed the deaths. Iranian state media said the use of cluster munitions was aimed at avenging the Israeli assassination of security chief Ali Larijani. The IRGC said the overnight barrage was launched "in retaliation" for the killings of Larijani and Soleimani.
