The Israeli Defence Forces announced on Wednesday morning that it has begun a new wave of strikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, following the evacuation of residents of the city of Tyre. The strikes were launched in response to continued rocket fire toward Israeli territory. The IDF said it deployed additional troops into Lebanon to establish a "forward defence posture" and remove threats from Hezbollah's Radwan Force headquarters and launch sites. Dozens of evacuation warnings were issued, displacing hundreds of thousands of Lebanese civilians northward past the Litani River. No immediate casualty figures were released for this wave.
