Israeli airstrikes hit apartment buildings in central Beirut's Zuqaq al-Blat and Basta districts around 1:30 AM local time on Wednesday, killing at least six people and wounding 24, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. No warning was issued ahead of the strikes, unlike the later Bachoura strike. One strike destroyed several floors of an apartment block in Zuqaq al-Blat — the same neighborhood where Israel had previously struck a branch of the Hezbollah-linked financial firm Al-Qard Al-Hassan.
