Iranian missile debris rains on Jerusalem Old City holy sites; Temple Mount, Holy Sepulchre hit

Shrapnel from Iranian ballistic missiles and debris from Israeli interceptors fell across Jerusalem's walled Old City on Monday evening, striking some of the holiest sites in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Israeli police located significant fragments at the Temple Mount / Al-Aqsa compound, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre complex, the Armenian Patriarchate, and the Jewish Quarter. An Iranian missile warhead landed less than one kilometer from the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Fire and Rescue service reported a large chunk from an intercepted missile struck a home in East Jerusalem. One man suffered a minor burn after touching a hot missile fragment. No major structural damage or fatalities were reported at the holy sites. The incident raised global alarm over the vulnerability of UNESCO World Heritage sites during the conflict.
